Our Mission
Our Mission:
In the last 30 years we have watched our camps bring joy to tens of thousands of campers. But not every child can experience the joy of camp, dipping their toes in a lake, being in the wilderness among the pine trees and forest animals. We formed Summer Camp AZ so we can share this experience with children primarily limited to a hospital environment.
We will partner with Samsung to bring their new “Wall” technology to the rec rooms at children’s hospitals with their 292-inch micro-LED 8K technology allowing them to experience the environment of snow, the ocean, live concerts, etc. Music artists can perform directly to children in an interactive experience from anywhere in the world.
In phase two we are working with game developers to travel “through” the wall. Like a video game, the children can tour the pyramids of Egypt, Mars, and most any environment you can imagine choosing their own path and group experience.
Phase Three will be to develop the technology where a hospitalized child could participate in real time in a camp setting, interacting with other camp children giving them a similar experience without having to leave their room.
Companies like Samsung and Summer Camp AZ are opening doors for all children to experience the joy camp can bring.
